ITIGG endeavours to develop its recommendations for the implementation of messages through electronic mail dialogue between its members. Formal meetings are held at least twice a year, coinciding with the UN/CEFACT Working Group meetings, normally in March/April and September, with additional meetings scheduled as required. Meetings are from 3 to five days duration. The next meeting will be held in Geneva in the week 9-13 September 2002, as part of the TBG3 meeting. Involvement in ITIGG discussions is open to any party with an interest in development and implementation of UN/EDIFACT messages in the transport sector, and access to electronic mail. Attendance at ITIGG meetings which coincide with UN/CEFACT Forum meetings is limited to delegates who have obtained formal accreditation through accepted UN/CEFACT processes.
