The publication of detailed, comprehensive and easily understood documents to support the implementation of key UN/EDIFACT messages is one of ITIGG"s key tasks. To date this has resulted in the release of a large number of documents related to the IFTM** set of freight movement messages, and the CO**** set of container messages, as well as a number of other messages used in the transport sector. Those documents which have been finalised are available for free down-load from this site. Draft documents are available for download by ITIGG members from the Meeting Papers page. Thus the Reference Guideline for the BAPLIE message is maintained by the shiplanning Message Development Group (SMDG), and the Guideline for the DESTIM message is maintained by the Concord EDI Group, in accordance with the ITIGG Principles and Rules which apply to each message. Changes to documents ITIGG documents are reviewed at regular intervals, usually coinciding with the six monthly meetings of the UN/CEFACT Forum. These meetings formally endorse proposals which have been developed in advance through electronic mail dialogue amongst ITIGG members. Proposals can be put forward by anyone with an interest in implementation of UN/EDIFACT transport messages, by contacting the ITIGG secretariat. |
